About Department

The department of electrical engineering was established in the year 1957 offering diploma in electrical stream. Under Graduate program was started in 1996 with discontinuation of diploma program.

The Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the well established department in the College of Technology and Engineering (C.T.A.E.), and has a distinguished faculty, all holding M.E/ M.Tech./ M.B.A. degrees from renowned institutes in India.

The Department offers instructions at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with the aim of providing a sound background in the areas of Electrical Engineering.

      

Objectives

• To develop a nucleus campus of excellence for imparting quality education in electrical engineering to meet the global challenges of fast growing market and business opportunities
• Research and Development in all areas of Electrical Engineering.
• Providing continuing education programmes for working professionals.
• Collaborating with government agencies, defense organizations, national and international industries of repute and universities worldwide through sponsored research, consultancy projects and manpower training schemes
