About Department

The department of mechanical engineering was established in year 1957 offering diploma in mechanical engineering. Undergraduate program in the mechanical engineering was started in 1996 discontinuing the diploma program. Currently the department has an annual intake of 40 students through the state level admission test. The undergraduate programme of the department is approved by the AICTE.

To be a nationally reputed entity contributing to the development of India through scientific and technical education and research; and to be counted as a important source for industry and society.

• To impart state of the art education in the field of mechanical engineering to graduate and undergraduate students to help the state, and the country in general.
